With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) officially in the state of New Mexico, we want to assure you that we are using cleaning practices recommended by the CDC. This includes using a peroxide-based cleaning solution approved by the CDC (8 ounces per gallon). All frequently touched items and surfaces will be cleaned as we enter the home or business. We disinfect all frequently touched items and surfaces first and all areas will be left wet for a minimum of 90 seconds or allowed to completely air dry. Once all frequently touched areas have been disinfected, the crew will proceed with our normal cleaning protocols which end with another disinfectant cleaning pass to all frequently touched surfaces as well as all bathrooms and kitchen surfaces.
This initial disinfectant cleaning will include leaving a final wet one directional pass or spray of peroxide cleaner on all toilets, sinks and faucets, flat surfaces, door handles, knobs, switch plates and other highly touched areas as well as all cleaning equipment and tools will be sprayed after cleaning is complete.
Peroxide-based cleaners are on the approved cleaning list from the CDC. Please call the office if you would like a further detailed description of the cleaning practices or talk with your crew leader.
Before leaving your home, the crew will use your kitchen sink to wash their hands with soap and water, as well as using a sanitizer. Then they will dry and clean the sink one final time with a wet peroxide wipe.
We are very concerned about the spread of this virus and until the CDC and state officials have a better handle on the spread and containment of the virus, we will follow this protocol. There has not been a confirmed transmission from a surface to person but we believe following these protocols is the safest approach.
The only known form of transmission is from sick person to healthy through cough, sneezing and talking. We ask that if you or any of your family members are feeling sick or are sick that you would let us know as soon as possible so we can get you rescheduled when you are back feeling healthy again. (We do require a 1 full day cancellation so the staff can maintain their hours.). We do not want to put our staff or any other customers in harm’s way.
We also request that you let us know if you or any family members or guests have traveled within 30 days prior to your cleaning. We have customers who are in the vulnerable group and do not want to compromise anyone’s health.
We encourage you to visit the CDC website for symptoms and prevention protocols.
There have been several cases in New Mexico and we will follow any guidelines the CDC, local and national governments advise.
Limiting cross contamination between people (staying a minimum of 6 feet from a person) and keeping all surfaces clean and disinfected, and washing our hands often is the best protocol we can follow right now.
Going forward we will be conducting voice calls as well as text/email courtesy notifications to inquire about health and travel status of each customer.
If anything changes we will let you know as soon as possible.
We appreciate your understanding during this process.
